Former Expose Members Compete For The Title.

So, it looks like former Extreme Expose members, Layla and Kelly Kelly, will be taking on each other with possibly their new stable members, Tiffany (“Blondetourage”) and Michelle McCool (“Laycool”) cheering for them at ringside. The future opponents were given an opportunity to go “at” each other on Superstars, when Kelly and Tiffany teamed up against Michelle McCool and Women’s Champion, Layla.

The match was given almost ten minutes of TV time – ending somewhere a bit after eight minutes – and it definitely had some suspenseful moments. I think this match did a great job at building Kelly up more into the fan’s approval. Not that she isn’t already over, but it’s always smart to get the fans behind the “face” Diva before a PPV match. I think that it would’ve been smarter if Kelly would have gotten the pin – just so she can stick “it” to Layla, but hey, sometimes a Diva has to take a loss and usually gets there win at the PPV, so who knows what WWE’s reason behind the outcome may of been.

Next, we see a short backstage moment between Kelly and Layla as Kelly was interviewed about her first ever singles PPV match and her first opportunity competition for the prestigious Womens Title. Unfornuately for Kelly, her interview didn’t last long as she was interupted by Layla who had a few choice words – mostly insisiting that Kelly should do some training and that Kelly’s only chance of beating her would be if Layla passed out from Kelly’s smell. Kelly has had enough and goes after an attack on Layla, Michelle then comes from behind and takes Kelly out. Laycool makes their exit as Tiffany comes – out of nowhere – and aids Kelly. Again, Layla has gotten the upperhand – makes you wonder if WWE is just attempting to build Kelly up as “unfornuate” and “bullied” just so she could come out with the win. Hey, it’s happened to Melina and Mickie, as well.

oh, so nice — she beat laycool, TWICE!

In layla el, Smackdown Rewind on July 3, 2010 at 7:47 pm

Hm. It would look like for the second week in a row, kelly kelly has defeated yet another member of the faction, “Laycool”.  Smackdown’s newest Diva is definitely turning out to be a threat to the Womens title of Laycool!

The match it self, well, it was pretty okay. I was pleased by Kelly’s selling -  unless Michelle’s moves sincerely hurt that bad — then, OUCH! The only thing that irked me throughout the match was Michelle continuing to take cheap shots at Tiffany. Like, okay Michelle, it was cool the first time you did it but now you should just let it go – YOU DO HAVE A MATCH GOING ON, YOU KNOW? And, if you don’t pay attention a certain little blonde, dressed in blue, will roll you up for a three count – 1, 2, 3…well, what do you  know.

Now, should Kelly be taken seriously as the next number one contender? Yes. I think so. I mean, they have built Kelly up in every and any way possible other than giving her any promos – other than her with Vickie and Laycool backstage. Kelly has practically beaten every Heel Diva on Smackdown (Other, than Serena who technically isn’t involved in the Divas Division, ATM) and I think WWE was fairly wise on that part. It may’ve taken awhile, but at least it wasn’t rush. WWE seem to be very slow and steady with their push for Kelly. I mean, it took the girl what, four years to get here? But, I think it’s your time, Kells. Maybe, WWE will back track and think — Kelly Kelly, WWE Women’s Champion? Nah. Or, perhaps they’re willing to give the young blonde from Jacksonville, a chance? Either way, I think Kelly should be proud she made it this far and that for the first time in her career she has a pretty much guaranteed chance to compete for such a prestige title. You go, Kells.

So, what does this mean for our girl, Tiffany? Hm. Well, my original wishing – and, still my own personal preference of how things should go down – is that both Tiffany and Kelly would take the Women’s Championships from Laycool. But, it looks like WWE doesn’t see Tiffany in the title picture – despite the fact that she is pretty decent in the ring. And, they have a tendency of using Tiffany as the rag doll in tag matches, Kelly’s single matches at ringside, etc. Tiffany is pretty much where Kelly was last year. I’m sure there are bright lights in your future, Tiff, but it looks like you’ll have to pay your dues, so to speak. But, nothing wrong with supporting your “bestie” if she makes it to the top. Team Blondetourage, all the way!

» the girl in white; NEW PHOTOSHOOT.

In Photoshoots on July 2, 2010 at 2:47 am

Looks like our annual Diva Focus girl, R-R-Rosa Mendes, has a yet another new photoshoot. Hey, the girl is barely in the ring so why not let her do all of the photoshoot-hogging? No biggie, in my book. However, the red lipstick is a biggie to me. Rosa is a pretty gorgeous girl, but red lipstick – ughh, just not even a big fan of it. Not even on myself, because red lipstick is something you should only wear with a selective choice of outfits and this isn’t one of them! Red lipstick with a white jacket and pants, come on, Rosa. Giving this shoot a 4.5/10, being that I only liked three shots out of the entire shoot and the red lipstick just threw me off. Come on Rosa, Laycool may say some pretty childish and irrelevant things but perhaps – just perhaps – their tip about your makeup was something you should’ve taken seriously. I could be wrong, but I think it would’ve saved the ENTIRE shoot! Well, better luck next sweet – I’m sure we’ll be seeing another shoot from you, soon.

» next stars of our generation?

In Thoughts on June 30, 2010 at 6:57 pm

yessuh. believe it or not, the days of michelle mccool, melina, beth phoenix, etc. are coming to a slow but assure end, believe me not? look, who our title holders are – alicia fox and layla, two divas who are new to the titles and alicia being a fairly young diva, herself –» we’re now looking at the new days of maryse, eve torres, alicia fox, kelly kelly, tiffany, etc. as our new generation of divas – it looks like the simple case of in with the new and out with the old. and judging by the recent release of mickie james, i wouldn’t be surprised to see a certain diva – and a former rival of hers who is out with injury – next. even michelle has recently married, i’m definitely sensing a new direction in the divas division, but is it a good thing? Who do you think will be the top – or most over – Diva of the division? Who do you think will be the “Top Bitches” or the “Top Good Girls/Heroes?”

First up, Former 1x Divas Champion, Eve Torres –» Whether or not I may be yet over with Eve, I can’t deny that she’ll have some type of fame to come soon within the Divas Division. Now, with her first title victory, I thought Eve would just become the ‘Next Candice Michelle’ – you know, being the hot thing one minute and forgot about the next. But check her out, she has yet to be injured – which makes it hard for the fans to forget about her, because unlike Candice, they can use her the next week after a title loss to keep her in fans mind, and the more Eve is able to compete the more over she can become. The only con I have with Miss Torres is that she must watch her spots. Her moonsaults – standing ones and the ones from the top rope – are amazing when they connect. I also like the drag arm lock she does and has used on Maryse various of times. Nice move. Eve really does have nice spots and I think she can use that to her advatange once she becomes more and more over, but they can also be her downfall – her leg drops never connect and the fans will take notice of that, work on it, Torres! Also, another thing I wanted to input about the whole ‘Next Candice Michelle’ – thing is that unlike Candice, Eve didn’t pose for playboy and I don’t know, I think when a Diva poses for playboy during her WWE venture it makes it harder for the fans to get behind them as Champions, or take them serious. Just something I noticed. I believe even Triple H mentioned something about how posing for playboy doesn’t do you any favors with your career – or something along the lines of that. Playboy is great if you want to just be an eye candy diva, but if you actually want the fans to respect you more and be taken serious, I say don’t post for it during your time within the company. But hey, that’s just my opinion. Who am I, anyways? Anywho, I see Eve staying in the Divas title picture for awhile, and staying the top baby face on Raw. I can see Eve gaining two or three – possibly four at most – more title victories in the near future. If she keeps her game up and doesn’t slack, I can definitely see her becoming a good diva to have in the Division. She’s gorgeous, she can do some pretty good spots and she has a good head on her shoulders. Now, all you need to do is work on that personality and charisma, lady. Even if WWE isn’t giving you a promo to show your personality, pull a Maryse. Show some character during your match and be more than just that “smiley” baby face we see from every face Diva. Be aggressive and show why you’re a former Divas Champion – change your style and entrance up. You can do it, Torres! We Believe in you, missy.

Alright, next up is Former 2x Divas Champion, Maryse –» Possibly, my personal favorite.  Why? She has the charisma, she has the looks and she has the popularity with the crowd. Don’t believe me? Rewatch the Tag team match between Maryse and Alicia against Eve and Gail and you will hear some fairly audible “Maryse” chants during the bout. Not to mention, anytime “Pourquoi” begins, there is a sudden lift of spirits in the crowd. Not that it’s necessarily a good thing to be over as a heel, but take a look at the Divas/Superstars who were over as heels: Randy Orton, Trish Stratus, Mickie James – all great names, all great heels but couldn’t get over as heels to save their lives. Is it their fault? No. They can’t stop the fans for cheering for them, all they can do is try to be as nasty as possible, but if the fans recognize good entertainment and talent when they see it, they’re going to tell you. And, I think that’s the case with Maryse, the fans recognize good character and therefore cheer her on. Nothing wrong with that, Frenchie. And, by the way, no, the case with Michelle McCool does not count, I purposely left her name out. Michelle may not be over as a heel, but having the audience dead quiet during your entrances and promos doesn’t exactly fit you into this category, McCool. However, though Maryse’s charisma and attitude is up there, she alike Eve also lacks something in her package – and that is wrestling skills. I love her to death, but sometimes the way she delivers a kick or punch just makes me cringe. One thing that she does always do fairly well is her French Kiss-DDT and her swinging back-breaker. But, Maryse isn’t so horrible that she’s hopeless. She’s still young and fairly early on in her career, she has plenty of time to improve in the areas she’s lacking on. Hey, Lita and Trish didn’t start out so great in the first years of their career, either. So, I can only conduct her to endure in some heavy training when she’s not busy, luckily she has a attitude and superb looks that you just can’t deny and that can take away the attention from what she lacks. Way to work with what you got, Maryse! In years to come, I see Maryse being a huge go-to girl for WWE in the  Divas Division. She’s pretty much the most recognized heel that WWE has and they’d be silly to not keep her around. She brings character and personality to her matches. I’m also taking a risk here, but I truly see Maryse taking on a face turn quite soon in her career. I believe she mentioned she was already due for one awhile back, but I guess WWE changed their minds. I believe by her third or fourth title reign – because surely, I believe Maryse will have a few more reigns down the road – she’ll be a face seeing as she’s already over with the crowd, so why not? Mark my word, Maryse definitely has a face turn down the road. And, if she is able to portray a great face and heel, then I definitely see a Trish Stratus-like career for her to come.

Next up, Current 1x Divas Champion, Alicia Fox –» Although Maryse and Eve Torres both may be nice, gorgeous Divas – WWE is still going to have to keep around a Diva who is able to sell their  moves. Lita and Trish Stratus wouldn’t of reached where they did had their been no Molly Holly, Victoria, Jazz, etc. there to sell their moves and I think Alicia – in my opinion – is one of the best sellers they have, alongside Michelle McCool. Not to mention Alicia has such a fierce attitude, you can’t help but be entertained by half of the things she does. The only issue I see with Alicia is that if her career continues the same way, I only see a Jazz, Molly Holly, etc. like career to come for her and while they all had pretty decent careers, I think Alicia can go past theirs. She isn’t exactly as skilled in Wrestling as they were, that’s for sure, but as I mentioned before, she is great at selling moves and that’s a plus, but then again, so is Jillian and she is a jobber. Miss Fox, surely you don’t want that. You should strive to be The Diva, not the Diva who jobs for The Diva. My only advice for Alicia would be to continue to separate herself from all other heel Divas, especially Maryse who seems to be her main competition for “Top Bitch” role on Raw. Whilst Alicia may be Champion now, we all know by now that a championship today isn’t promised tomorrow – so don’t be a Candice and expect that you’ll get this super-amazing career, because it’s not promised you will just because you have a title win. You have to constantly set the bar higher for the other Divas and fight for your role. Do things that the WWE askes you, whilst also doing things that they weren’t clever enough to think of. Bring character and personality to your matches and always give 110% in all of your matches. Hope to see you make it to the top, Miss Alicia. I definitely believe in you.

Last, but not least, Jacksonville’s’ own, Kelly Kelly! –» So, perhaps you may not think much of Kelly Kelly – WWE haven’t exactly built her up as the ‘Next Trish Stratus,’ or anything but that doesn’t mean Kelly isn’t the next threat to become the star of the New Division. Look at her, she’s beautiful, she’s incredibly popular with the crowd and she’s bubbly and sweet. This may make her easily disliked by the Internet percentage, but the fans in attendance admire her for these things – and I admit as well that I am a huge fan of little Miss Kelly Kelly. However, I can’t see her holding the title, but I can see her in the title picture. I can see Kelly becoming the ‘Next Stacy Keibler’ or Christy Hemme and being the likable and marketable baby face. She’s already pretty much the go-to Cover girl for WWE and management are incredibly over about her. But, is she over enough to win a title? I’m not too sure. I think management sees what I see, Kelly is a cute and popular girl, but that’s just it. She doesn’t possess the true agression needed to be a Women’s Champion. The last time I’ve seen her show some good agression was her first Divas Title Match against Maryse. Now, that’s the Kelly that should be holding a title. Right now, I just see Kelly working to become the most popular baby face and there’s nothing wrong with that – you don’t necessarily need to win a title to be remembered, look at Torrie Wilson. While I may not be a huge fan of hers, she was over with the fans and was used regularly by the WWE in storylines and today, she is remembered just as much as the likes of Lita and Trish Stratus! So, I say go on Kelly, title or not. However, Kelly fans, don’t let my word pull you down – I’m all for her winning some g0ld, as long as she builds up some character along the way. I’d just hate to see Kelly having a title reign ala Candice Michelle, and loose all her fans.

blondetourage, YOUGOTSPARK ! [♥]

In Videos on June 30, 2010 at 6:11 pm

you got spark, you got spunk.

ahh. okay, so i adoree blondetourage. yep, total team blondetourage over here, thank you. [: they do have a cute spark and spunk to them and are such an adorable team. at times, they remind me of a moden stacy and torrie, but they add their own blondetourage spin on it — so no, i do not think they’re ripping them off or anything or claiming that kelly or tiffany is “the next torrie” or whatever, smh. the only similarity i see between the two duos are that they all are blondes and were fan favs without actually being champs. that’s all.

anyway, back to the subject — luff, luff, luff team blondetourage. all for blonde ambition on smackdown, i hope that tiffany gets a win over michelle, or layla or that when/if kelly wins the women’s title she shares it with her bestie, tiffy. (lmfao!) because as much as i adore kelly, i still don’t feel like the wwe built her up as a credible contender. i think they should give her more promos so she can show she’s not just all fluff, yano? but, if her and tiff both won it, then i can see people being a bit easier on kelly sense she’d only be co-women’s champ.

ANYWAYYY.
enjoy ! [:

» you’re my enemy.

In Raw Rewind, Thoughts on June 30, 2010 at 5:57 pm

possible indications of a future triple threat match down the road?

“and, you’re always there to remind me, you’re my enemy.”

So, this week on World Wrestling Entertainment’s Raw Brand, we kick things off later on in the night with a good ole’ fashion Diva Tag Team Match featuring Maryse and Current Divas ChampionAlicia Fox. Now, before I go onto to announce who their opponents were, let me just comment on the entrance of the two fierce Raw Divas’ entrance. The two Divas enter the ring to the theme music of the current Divas Champion – what is that, Maryse not coming out to her own theme music? GASP! – Just by Maryse’s demeanor through her entrance, you can see she wasn’t in much, if any, of a cheery, cocky mood as we’re use to – as to where Alicia seems to be in an extremely peppy mood. I’m guessing that it has something to do with either her new title, or her new attire? Gail Kim and Eve Torres brighten up the mood with their entrance, both wearing matching color ring attires and wide smiles as the Philadelpia crowd shows Eve some love during her entrance.

The match ends with Alicia via pinfall on Gail Kim after a devastating axe drop kick. Post-match, we see a staredown between Maryse and Alicia. Maryse looks none-too-happy or supportive about Alicia’s current title reign. Possibly being that it was Alicia who pinned Maryse to earn the title? Mhm, I think that would have something to do with it. However despite the intense tension between the two heel divas, keep in mind that Eve still has a rematch clause. However, WWE is failing to build her up as a credible contender. Possibly being that WWE realizes the match would be quite boring with the little to no chemistry the two have in the ring. Wonder what I’m thinking? Instead of it being a singles bout between the two, how about making it Maryse vs Eve vs Alicia Fox at Money In The Bank? All three hate each other and have some type of history. Maryse hates Eve for taking her title, Eve hates Alicia for taking her title and Alicia hates Maryse because there’s just not enough room on Raw for two egotistical Divas, now is there?

So, I say book it, WWE! You’ve already gained my attention from the last great match idea of the Fatal Four way, keep throwing curve balls at us and give us a Triple Threat Match. It’ll add more credibility to the Divas title – seeing as the Womens title is slowly becoming the less fought for title with Laycool just holding it on their shoulders and bringing no attention whatsoever to it – the Divas title, in my opinion, has already become or is slowly becoming what the Womens title was when Trish and Lita were around. Look how many Divas have held it so far: Mickie James, Maryse, Eve Torres, Melina, Alicia Fox, Michelle McCool — and it has already broken apart MaryFox. I say that title has quite value, but that’s just me because I’m a Raw girl, and solely believe the more the Divas title is fought for, the more prestige it will gain. And hey, it wouldn’t exactly do any harm to the fellow Divas’ careers, either. Having a triple match between the three could build Alicia up as the aggressive and vicious Diva she has shown to be – while taking the more aggressive and fighting role of the three. Eve can play the underground diva – by being down for the match, but surprising us all with her incredible spots and moves. Whilst, Maryse can play the sneaky – dirty player role, by going by any means cost to gain the Divas title. And best of all, I can’t see any teams being formed in this match – it literally will be, everyone women for herself. So, I say again WWE, book this!
